The City of Flagstaff hosts an annual Earth Day Celebration to bring together all members of our community. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for local organizations to show community members ways they can get involved with protecting, conserving, and learning about our shared home.

Hosted on the Saturday closest to April 22nd, this event is held in a public space where dozens of community organizations, bands, local food vendors, and local presenters come together to have fun in the sun! 2026 Earth Day Celebration

Leave the hassle of finding a parking spot behind and pedal your way to the Earth Day Celebration!

How does it work?

Roll up to the designated bike valet area, where our friendly staff will securely park your bikes. Enjoy peace of mind walking around the event, knowing your wheels are safe while you explore. When you are ready to leave, just present your valet ticket, and we'll have your bike ready for you.

Volunteer Service Projects

Give back this Earth Day 2026 by volunteering to help our Earth and the Flagstaff community! Sign-ups will be open on Volunteer Flagstaff soon.

Volunteer opportunities to support the Celebration include the following:

Event Setup: Help set up tables and chairs before the start of the event. Green Team: Green Team Set-Up will assist sustainability staff in setting up waste stations for the event. Green Team will top sort & educate community members on proper waste diversion at this Zero Waste event. Vendor Check-In: Assist vendors check-in to the event and help transport supplies to their designated table locations. Direct vendors to pull into designated loading zones. Signs will be posted. Instruct vendors to leave the loading zone and park their vehicle(s) across the street in the Vendor Parking area. Use provided equipment to transport vendor supplies to designated table locations. Report to the staff leader who has been checked in and can be crossed off the list. Use proper lifting techniques, watch footing to avoid trips, slips, and falls. Bike Valet: Check-in and out participants bicycle's during the event. Event Take-Down: Help to break down chair/tables and return celebration supplies to the vehicles.
